22 July 2010 -Man Love: It's a 2 Day Menswear Clearance!

Hi Everyone!

I saw I Am Love twice because once just wasn't enough.
Good art house film releases on the big screen, seem few
and far between so it's good to support them when they come
along.

Luckily we have cinemas like the Tribal Theatre and
GoMA's Cinemateque to mix it up a little.

I also noticed a surprising programme starting at
Palace Centro this month called Cult Cinema.
From July to September, they running some classic
films as double features, including -
Blow Up & Zabriskie Point  ( Friday 23/7)
Blue Velvet & Last Tango in Paris (Friday 10/9)

Then during August and September, they are screening
a series of Alien vs. Predator for (yep) Alien and
Predator films.

All of these screenings are at 8:30pm and tickets are $12.
For more details, head to:

It was WONDERFUL to have Max Doyle in Brisbane last
week appearing at The IMA in conversation with Professor Suzi Vaughan
from QUT.
Of course we love Max's music (his band Songs) but he was
here to talk about his photographic work, which has predominately been
with Vogue Australia and also his own groundbreaking magazine
Doingbird.

The IMA host regular artist talks which are free and extremely informative!
